In some ways, interracial couples are simply a side effect of diversity; as shows incorporate different people of different races and identities in order to tell more stories and represent more people, they also create the conditions that make interracial couples and families possible. THE WALKING DEAD: The Walking Dead tells the story of the months and years that follow after a zombie apocalypse. It follows a group of survivors, led by former police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home. As the world overrun by the dead takes its toll on the survivors, their interpersonal conflicts present a greater danger to their continuing survival than the walkers that roam the country. Over time, the characters are changed by the constant exposure to death and some grow willing to do anything to survive. Based on the comic book series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore, and Charlie Adlard.

BOY MEETS WORLD: Boy Meets World is an American television sitcom created and produced by Michael Jacobs and April Kelly. It ran for seven seasons on the ABC network. The show starts with Cory as an average eleven year old boy. He has a best friend from the other side of the tracks, a teacher that constantly keeps him on his toes, a classmate named Topanga who he has trouble understanding, and a family that keeps his life interesting – including an older brother who seems to become more idiotic as the show progresses. As years wear on and Cory grows up, everything gradually changes. Shawn begins to feel the strains of his less than perfect life, Topanga become more than a friend, and the constant spinning of the world leads up to Cory slowly becoming less naive and more responsible.

SENSE8: Sense8 is an American science fiction drama streaming television series created by Lana and Lilly Wachowski and J. Michael Straczynski for Netflix.

A group of strangers all experience a rebirth which inexplicably links them intellectually emotionally and sensually we are taken along their journey to discover exactly what they are going through witnessing their interactions from face to face conversations from opposite sides of the world without the use of any devices, using each other’s skills and abilities, learning about each other, all the while being pursued by a secretive group that wish to lobotomise them in order to prevent an evolutionary path they do not wish to become humanity’s future.

SPARTACUS: The inspiration behind this series is the Thracian Gladiator Spartacus, who led a slave uprising against the Roman Republic. The Thracians had been persuaded by Claudius Glaber to serve as auxiliaries in the Roman legions in a campaign against the Getae, who had often plundered Thracian lands. However after Glaber reneges on the deal and switches his attentions from the Getae to attack Mithridates in Asia Minor, the Thracians feel betrayed and mutiny. Captured by Glaber, Spartacus is condemned to death as a Gladiator, whilst his wife Sura is condemned to slavery. Spartacus, however, proves to be a formidable gladiator, and defeats the four gladiators tasked with executing him. He becomes a favorite of the crowd, leading Senator Albinius to commute his death sentence to a life of slavery. Spartacus is purchased by Batiatus for gladiator training, who promises to help him find Sura if he proves himself in training. As the series develops, the story follows the betrayals and machinations of Roman life and a tale of one man’s heroic quest for vengeance.

How to Get Away with Murder: It is an American legal thriller television series that premiered on ABC on September 25, 2014 A group of 5 sexy young law students are hired by a ruthless defense lawyer after becoming her favorite students in the class. But working for Annelise Keating isn’t as easy as they thought it would be. A young sorority girl is found murdered and everyone’s a suspect and everybody is hiding something.

SCANDAL: Scandal is an American political thriller television series starring Kerry Washington. Created by Shonda Rhimes, it aired on ABC from April 5, 2012. Stephen Ward (John Hurt) regularly employs attractive young women as professional party guests to impress his influential friends in the British government. One of these women (Joanne Whalley-Kilmer) has affairs with both Britain’s Minister of War John Profumo (Ian McKellen) and Eugene Ivanov (Jeroen Krabbé), a supposed spy for the Soviet Union. When the affairs are made public, the resulting scandal costs many people their political careers and someone’s life. Based on a true story.

SCREAM: Scream  is an American anthology slasher television series developed by Jill Blotevogel. cream is a serialized anthology series that follows a group of teenagers being stalked and targeted by a masked serial killer. The first two seasons, set in the fictional town of Lakewood, follow the story of Emma Duval, a teenage girl, who is linked to the horrific events of the town’s past. As the killer’s main obsession starts to take a hold after a brutal murder in the present, Emma finds herself in the center of imminent peril. With both her family and friends in danger, she sets out to uncover the town’s dark mysteries and unmask the identity of the Lakewood Slasher. The third season follows the story of Deion Elliot, a local football star in Atlanta, who is tormented by the events of his tragic past. As Ghostface uses his darkest secrets against him and continues with a killing spree, Deion not only stands to lose his future, but also, the lives of his friends and family members, who might end up being potential victims of the notorious and infamous killer.

Dear White People: Dear White People is an American comedy-drama streaming television series on Netflix that follows several black college students at an Ivy League institution (the fictional Winchester University), touching on issues surrounding modern American race relations through a progressive lens. Set against the backdrop of a predominantly white Ivy League university where racial tensions bubble just below the surface, Dear White People is a hilarious send-up of “post-racial” America that weaves together the universal story of finding one’s own identity and forging a wholly unique path. The satirical series which picks up where the acclaimed 2014 film by the same name left off follows a group of Winchester University’s students of color as they navigate a diverse landscape of social injustice, cultural bias, political correctness (or lack thereof) and sometimes misguided activism in the millennial age. Through an absurdist lens, Dear White People utilizes biting irony, self-deprecation and sometimes brutal honesty to hold up a mirror to the issues plaguing society today, all the while leading with laughter.
